Priscilla & Lisa Marie Presley Attend Vigil 35 Years After Elvis Presley’s Death
It is not uncommon for the family members of deceased loved ones to attend vigils or other commemorative events in honor of their passing. In the case of Elvis Presley, his former wife Priscilla Presley and their daughter Lisa Marie Presley have been known to attend vigils and other events to honor his legacy.
One notable vigil took place in Memphis, Tennessee on August 15, 2012, marking the 35th anniversary of Elvis’s death. Priscilla and Lisa Marie were both in attendance, along with thousands of fans from around the world who gathered to pay their respects and remember the King of Rock and Roll.
The vigil included a candlelight procession through Graceland, Elvis’s former home, as well as performances by tribute artists and other events.
Priscilla and Lisa Marie have also been involved in other efforts to preserve Elvis’s legacy and keep his music and memory alive. This includes the operation of Graceland as a museum and tourist attraction, as well as the release of various posthumous albums and documentaries about Elvis’s life and career.
